President PPP Punjab Manzoor Wattoo said on Thursday that the Punjab government has rigged the bye-polls. He was talking to media. According to him, sufficient evidence exists to prove that the Punjab government was involved in rigging the bye-polls. He said the election results are bogus and the PPP does not accept the election results.

He said the PML-N has not outperformed other parties but it was the provincial administration that played partial role in holding bye-elections. The Punjab government harassed the opponents through police, stole the ballot boxes and managed bogus votes during polling. Also, no sanction was made for deploying Rangers on polling stations, he added. The PPP Punjab President has expressed the hope that higher judiciary would take notice of the rigging.
